5 Stars***** Feeling Great, January 8, 2004

'Feel good about yourself' is the message of this book. Through the use of short stories, prose and poems this writer is a cheerleader for reader to overcome past injustices, live in the present, and prepare for the future.
Even though this book is designed to be read over the course of 40 days, I couldn't wait to finish it. Now I'm going back and marking the excerpts I want to read again and again.
5 Stars*****A Different Frame Of Mind, January 29, 2004

If you look at the average life span (70 years for example), it is made up of 25,550 parts that we will call days....
I read Taylor Tagg's book, Enrich Your Sunrise, in 40 days along with completing each exercise. If I look at this in retrospect, I spent one-tenth of one percent of my life to focus on living my life in a more positive manner. The more I think about it, I would spend a lot more time than that to achieve my desired results. But, Mr. Tagg is only asking for 40 days....
I don't know one person that can consistently keep the same frame of mind, especially a positive one. Even the most positive individual will go through periods of doubt, anguish, disgust, dispair, anger, etc. These feelings are simply the result of the "power of emotions." Enrich Your Sunrise is what I like to call "emotional soap". We have all heard the term a "clean slate". This book allows you to wash your slate clean and start anew.
I am a very positive person, but I need support just like anyone else. This book was just that -- SUPPORT. It provided insight to some minor changes that I can make to create a major impact in my life.
This book is definitely a MUST READ for everyone. If you need just a little push in a different direction or if you need a full overhaul of your attitude towards life, Enrich Your Sunrise is the book for you....
I now have two copies. I keep one at my bedside table and I keep the other at the office. I refer to the text on many occasions - when the picture in my mind needs a different frame. This book is not only a great read, but it provides for reference to lifes little nuances.
5 Stars***** Appropriate for the masses!, January 26, 2004

This was definitely a good read, as there were short narratives directed at a multitude of topics that readers can easily relate to in their own lives and experiences. You can't help but catch yourself being surprised by the number of tales and lessons that can shed some light on your own personal situation. For instance, my family is on the verge of relocation, and I was especially intrigued by the topic of "dealing with change". The themes are simple and they are meant to be that way - to give the reader the opportunity to turn the spotlight on himself/herself. DANGER - Don't read this book unless you want to feel a little more optimistic about your own life afterwards!
